Email and SEO work are excellent for getting traffic to your site and generally making it known to your potential customers. But you do need to have a web site - and it needs to do the job of interesting, accurately informing and getting your prospects to contact you so they can become customers. A good site could also service your existing customers and keep them coming back.
Like shops web sites should probably re-vamped at least every six months to keep interest and develop with your business and market place - few things stand still all the time - especially in a developing business.
