Why Google Chrome?
Chrome has only been in development in the past few years, first being released in december 2008, Chrome boasts being faster than all existing browsers by using their V8 JavaScript engine. Tests by Google in September 2008 showed that V8 was about twice as fast as Firefox 3.0 and the WebKit nightlies. Several websites performed benchmark tests using the SunSpider JavaScript Benchmark tool as well as Google's own set of computationally intense benchmarks, which include ray tracing and constraint solving. They unanimously reported that Chrome performed much faster than all competitors against which it had been tested, including Safari (for Windows), Firefox 3.0, Internet Explorer 7, Opera, and Internet Explorer 8.

We at Merrehill now all use chrome for it's speed, usability and stability. It has a nice user interface which runs quickly and smooth, a very nice bookmark system and tabs can be moved from window to window seemlessly, downloads are managed easily.
For designers & developers chrome has "Developer tools" which allow you to debug javascript, view saved cookies and more. Chrome also supports the latest webkit package as do mozilla and safari, allowing more slick web page designs without having to write long lengths of Javascript to get a similar effect (such as rounded borders now only require '-webkit-border-radius:5px;' to create a rounded border instead of having to painfully position 4 pictures at each corner!).
You can also get a "View in IE" add-on for chrome viewing a page exactly as Ie would do which is useful while the transition is occuring. Ie8 doesn't currently support webkit but it is looking likely Ie9 will.
If you have not yet tried Google chrome we strongly recommend you do.
You can read more about it from google and download it here.
Installation is quick and then everything else is from there!
